Benefits of becoming a MRDA Member?

Apr 20, 2011

Ron Reyering -  Ashley Furniture Sales Rep - "I have been a member of the MRDA organization for 15 plus years and find this trade show to be very beneficial in the fact that we can meet and share ideas with current and new dealers.  It gives us a chance to socialize with managers, owners and other vendors in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere."

Janet Riddle - Whirlpool Sales Rep - "The MRDA does an outstanding job attracting both dealers and vendors to the Heartland of America trade show. One of the most valuable experiences of the show is the opportunity to train our customer's sales teams as well as interact with them at the Vendor Showcase. This improves product awareness and keeps their product knowledge on the leading edge of the industry - think Whirlpool Cabrio high efficiency laundry. The MRDA event also provides a strong opportunity to network, as the number of vendors and other dealers at the show is impressive."

Bill French - O'Rourke Sales - "We are proud to support such a strong State Association. As a vendor, it is important to show our allegiance to state associations that in turn fuel our business. O'Rourke Sales Company considers this a true partnership. These relationships are very important to O'Rourke Sales and the RTO Industry. We look forward to seeing all our friends at MRDA in June."

Other ongoing benefits of joining the MRDA:

The MRDA has a history of pulling together when the rental-purchase industry has come under attack from various sources within the state. A primary example was the anti-RTO legislative initiatives introduced in 1994. With the help of the MRDA's lobbyist and political consultant, the association's dealers and vendors presented a pro-consumer choice legislative option to the State Legislature. The outcome was solid legislation that protected consumer rights while also protecting your rights and those of all MRDA members who operate in Missouri. This is just one example of how the MRDA works for its members.

-The MRDA's lobbyist in Jefferson City monitors all state legislation impacting the rent-to-own industry. This allows you to quickly provide input to our legislators on key issues affecting your business.

-The MRDA works closely with the Association of Progressive Rental Organizations (APRO) to provide you with the latest information from the national legislative front regarding our industry.

-The MRDA provides a forum for networking with our Vendor Partners to keep abreast of the latest product offerings.
